Siemens Motion 101 – changing filters

When using Siemens Motion 101 custom made hearing aids , regular maintenance is encouraged. These well designed hearing aids have removable filters that protect the receivers (otherwise known as speakers to the non technical world) of the hearing aids.
These filters can be clogged up by dirt and wax from the ear canal. This picture shows a clogged or blocked filter. Let us learn how to change these filters.

First we take out the filter removal tool from the unit.

Then we screw point A into the filter to get a good grip on the old filter

Having removed the old filter from the hearing aid, we use the middle of the wheel to remove the old filter from our removal tool.

We then turn the wheel to expose a new filter

After the filters are in place, remember to keep the insertion and removal tool in its place.
